Recently as only in the last several days I heard a correct assessment of what is happening in the middle east. To amplify. All Arab Countries are ruled by dictators and or individuals exercising dictatorial powers. Therefore all the current attacks on western embassy's are allowed by these governments.

The widespread violence throughout the middle east and the western world raises one question in my mind: WHY HAVE THE ARABS IN THE USA NOT TAKEN TO THE STREETS. WE ARE A FREE NATION AND THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING LEGAL OR DANGEROUS TO THE PEOPLE. I THINK THAT THE REASON IS THAT OUR CULTURE OF ASSIMILATING FOREIGN IMMIGRANTS MAKES THEM ADOPT OUR VALUE SYSTEM. THIS SYSTEM IS HISTORICAL ANTI STREET DEMONSTRATIONS.

The second thought I have and many commentators have expressed this is that the Moslem World wants to return to the values of the 13nth century. Therefore it is anti-progress and anti western civilization. It is a notion that is spreading rapidly. One sign in a demonstration read "Islam is cOMING". We are fighting for progress, science and civilized behavior. Do we have the political will not TO FOOL around but to commit ourselves to this battle. We cannot allow western civilization to be conquered by a primitive people who have never progressed since the 13nth century

Wihin our country we have a potentially large fifth column knawing away at our alliances and undermining our defenses. TWO AMERICAN SOLDIERS HAVE BEEN MURDERED. NO ADDS HAVE APPEARED IN THE NEW YORK TIMES BY THE ARAB COUNCILS CONDEMMNG THESE ATTACKS. SILENCE IS CONSENT.

iSLAM IS NOT A BENIGN RELIGION IT LIKE THE ROMANS UNDERMINES PROGRESS AND SCIENCE WANTING TO HAVE DECISIONS MADE ON THE BASIS OF FAITH INSTEAD OF CONSEQUENCES AND BENEFITS. THUS ANTI STEM CELL RESEARCH, ANTI ABORTION, DENYING GLOBAL WARMING ARE ALL SYMPTOMS OF A TERRIBLE DISEASE SPREADING IN THE UNITED STATES FROM ROME AND THE MIDDLE EAST.

WE THE INTELLIGENTIA MUST CEASE OUR ACADEMIC POSTURE AND SILENCE AND TAKE UP OUR PENS TO VIGIOURASLY TAKE A STAND OF PUBLIC POLICY BY RATIOAL THINKING NOT BY FAITH.

The question is how to we do this.

Since I wrote this the large Latino Demonstrations have taken place, allas probably with little result.
